Andrew Dover Earns PHTA Certified Builder Professional Credential

We are pleased to share that Andrew Dover has earned the Certified Pool & Spa Building Professional (CBP) designation from the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA), powered by GENESIS®.
Andrew serves as a designer, project manager, and construction manager for outdoor living at Georgia Outdoor Living, Inc., which also operates as Georgia Classic Pool. His new credential adds pool-specific professional education to his construction management background and his experience helping bring outdoor projects from concept to completion.
Why Pool-Building Knowledge Matters to the Entire Backyard
When a project includes a pool, decisions about its placement affect much more than the water. The pool must connect with patios, steps, retaining walls, planting, drainage, and the places where people will gather. Decisions made during design also influence how the project can be built.
Andrew’s work crosses those stages. As a designer, he helps develop ideas around the home, property, and homeowner’s goals. As a project manager, he helps coordinate the transition from plans to construction. As construction manager for outdoor living, he works with the features surrounding the pool, including hardscapes, patios, outdoor kitchens, fireplaces, and covered structures.
The CBP designation strengthens that combination of design and construction experience with professional education focused on swimming pool building.
About the CBP Designation
The Certified Builder Professional designation is part of PHTA’s Certified Pool Builder & Design Professional Pathway. It recognizes an individual professional’s education and knowledge in pool and spa construction. Andrew holds the credential personally; it is one of the qualifications he brings to the Georgia Outdoor Living and Georgia Classic Pool teams.
Andrew also holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Kennesaw State University. His continuing education reflects our commitment to bringing informed planning and careful coordination to the outdoor spaces we create.
